    Bridling

    Mary aged
    As years went by;
    Feeling caged,
    With things awry.
    Middle-aged
    And not so spry,
    Mary gauged
    Her youth, whereby
    She'd engaged
    Then married; aye,
    Problems raged,
    She wondered why.
