Holly Moses!

  1. Holly want a smacker?
    Berries red like lacquer?
    Outlines boldly blacker?
    Next a danced Nutcracker?

    Holly days are sometimes gay
    And holidays sometimes sleigh.
The Dickens is, one might say,
That reindeers fly while the horse votes neigh.
    -
Ho-ho-ho and a bottle of grog,
    Winter rain and frosty fog
Hogfather those with a you'll tide log,
    While wondering about an epilogue....
    -
    Merry Mary, quite contrary,
    How will that garden be
When blooms the jolly holly glee
    Around yon Sketcherie?
    -
    Truly Julie, clever maid,
    Ponder on this accolade,
    When a rhyming fusillade
    Scribes a mouse-like escapade.
    -
    Merry, very aerie see
    As fairy, nary wary, be
    In quaternary voluntary
    Offer this small wordy spree.

  2. Holy Moses,
    Frosty noses,
    One supposes
    Sniffle when
    Holy Cows,
    As one allows,
    Stand and drowse
    In field and fen.
    Holly smoke,
    At midnight's stroke,
    Rise above us sleepy folk,
    Ah, what happens then?
